29 7/8in. nitro reproved fine damascus barrels, the rib engraved 'TRULOCK & HARRISS. 9 DAWSON ST. DUBLIN.', the barrel flats signed 'W. FORD', 89mm chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/2 choke, treble-grip action with carved percussion fences, slender toplever, rebounding back-action locks with flatside hammers (possible repairs), the action, furniture and lockplates finely engraved with acanthus scrollwork surrounding vignettes of hound and fowl, the makers name in scrolling banners to the lockplates, retaining very slight traces of original colour-hardening, 14 1/2in. figured stock including 7/8in. rubber recoil pad, gold oval escutcheon monogrammed 'HBL' surmounted with 'FC' and dated '1879', stepped fore-end with horn escutcheon, weight 9lb. 15oz.
